How to run your first fit check in ResumeAIScore

ResumeAIScore is built for one job at a time: compare the resume you already use to the posting you're about to apply for. This guide walks through your first check end to end.

1. Create an account and open Check fit

Sign up, then go to Check fit (or Start free from the homepage). You'll move through resume → job → results.

2. Save the resume you'll actually send

Upload a PDF or paste text. Use the version you'd attach to the application — not a rough draft. ResumeAIScore stores it so you can reuse it for the next posting without uploading again.

3. Paste the full job description

Copy the real posting (responsibilities, requirements, nice-to-haves). Short blurbs miss must-haves and skew the report. Continue when the text looks complete.

4. Read the results in order

Start with the fit score and summary, then the section scorecard (Summary, Experience, Skills, Education — weakest first). Scan requirement coverage and knockout risks next. Copy top fixes into your real PDF. Download the diagnostic PDF if you want a shareable or offline copy.

5. What to do next

Edit your designed resume offline with the suggested wording. When you're ready to measure progress, run a new fit check (uses one check from your quota). For a different posting, use Check another job with the same saved resume.
