Marketing resumes: match the channel the job is actually hiring for

Lifecycle, SEO, paid, or product marketing each want different proof — here’s how to mirror that without fluff.

Updated 2026-08-03

A generic “digital marketing” resume underperforms because the posting is rarely generic. Read which lane you’re in, then promote that proof.

Lane-by-lane signals

  • Lifecycle: nurture, trial-to-paid, HubSpot or similar
  • Content/SEO: organic growth, clusters, on-page CTAs
  • Paid: budget, CAC or ROAS, landing-page tests
  • Product marketing: launch, positioning, sales enablement

Example bullets

  • Rebuilt onboarding email in HubSpot and lifted trial-to-paid conversion over one quarter
  • Refreshed a keyword cluster and top posts; organic sessions rose year over year
  • Paused low-intent paid keywords and rebuilt landing pages; CAC moved in the right direction
